Promotions worth celebrating

Underscoring the strong momentum at Altor, we are proud to announce and celebrate a number of promotions and elections. We have three colleagues who now are elected to Operating Partners and one colleague who has been promoted to Senior Associate. Let’s go through them one by one.

The three new Operating Partners are all three industry leading professionals in their fields and have significantly contributed to enhancing our firm’s value creation, building our capabilities, and further developing Altor as the preeminent firm in our industry.

Johan Reiersen 

Johan started his career in McKinsey where he was elected partner in 2005. In 2013 he moved to QVARTZ where he was a partner until he joined Altor in 2020.
Immediately upon joining our firm Johan immersed himself in a number of portfolio situations. Combining a unique sense for identifying value creation opportunities with a high energy level, Johan’s impact has exceeded our very high expectations. He is highly skilled, direct and impactful but in a humble and respectful way, always focusing on doing the right thing in a given situation in order to create value for the funds and help people and organizations improve.

Lars Fromm

Lars joined Altor as Head of Financing four years ago and has some 23 years of experience from the capital and debt markets, as Head of Loan Markets Sweden at Danske Bank, from Large Cap Leveraged Finance at Nordea, from Mid Corp Acquisition Finance at SEB Merchant Banking, and earlier from Corporate Finance at Enskilda Securities.

Lars has already made significant contributions to the success of Altor’s investment activities, to the development of our organization, and to the Altor brand in the markets. Lars has also deliberately developed Altor’s position in the debt market from a mid-cap PE firm relying primarily on Nordic club financings, to a leading PE firm with prioritized status based on deep relationships with all types of financing suppliers and advisors.

Øistein Widding

After a +20-year career within consulting, investments and leadership services, Øistein joined Altor almost four years ago as Head of Talent. Since then, Øistein has been instrumental in raising the bar for talent management and talent acquisition efforts across the firm. Øistein has also been active across a vast majority of our portfolio companies, supporting changes of CEO and other top executive positions as well as Board of Directors across +30 companies. In addition to the above, Øistein has also taken on the role as Head of the Oslo office.

Andreas Kaldhussaeter

Regarding the Senior Associate promotion, Andreas Kaldhussaeter joined Altor in the spring of 2021 after approximately 5 years with JPM and ABG. He has quickly become an appreciated colleague at Altor who really lives by the Altor values. In his career with Altor to date, Andreas has been an essential part of the OX2 IPO team and the NCG deal team. He is part of the IGT and Business Services sectors and has worked on several sourcing opportunities.
